In this video series, usher safety team members will discover the laws they operate under if involved in stopping dangerous people or intervening in safety threats against the church.
Ushers and greeters are often the first person of contact, so it is important they recognize extraordinary and suspicious circumstances and alert the proper people quickly (security team or police). In this video they will discover what to watch for outside the church, in the lobby area, and in the worship center, so they have an action plan when they find something.
Sometimes angry, intoxicated, mentally ill and emotional people may come to church and cause a disturbance. Sometimes they may be intentionally offensive to gain attention. Understanding the five principles of communication is the key to assisting them and helping them regain control of themselves, so they can find then help they need while at your church.
